Constraints Wait

Constraints are non-negotiable.

We don’t beat gravity.

We jump.

We postpone.

Gravity waits.

Long enough for us to feel in control.

Then it pulls us back.

That’s what all constraints do.

Some wait longer.

The slower the feedback loop,

the easier it is to pretend it doesn’t apply to us.

The easier it is to believe the lie

that we are in control.

That’s how we get away with it.

Until we don’t.

We call fast feedback force.

We call slow feedback patience.

It’s still a constraint.

It still waits.

The classy problem is thinking we’re the exception.

Confusing a precious, brief jump

with the ability to fly.

Constraints aren’t obstacles.

They’re design elements.

They don’t require belief.

They refuse defiance.

They wait for our compliance.
