I can make more with less effort.

More options.

More inputs.

More ideas.

More things to respond to.

That part is real.

I feel the need to push.

To move too quickly.

To confuse access with readiness.

To mistake volume for value.

To call something useful

when its redundant.

That’s where I get exposed.

In my ability to discern.

What matters.

What fits.

What is noise.

What is signal.

What is mine to act on.

What needs to wait.

That part didn’t get easier.

My judgment didn’t.

It did get more important.

What deserves my attention.

What deserves my effort.

What is indicated.

That’s where the work lives now.

In discerning what matters.
