An objective is the reason the goal matters.
It’s the why behind the what.
The purpose is hiding under the target.
Anyone can name a goal.
Only the clear thinking name the objective.
Without an objective, a goal is empty.
Performative.
Unaligned.
Easily abandoned.
With an objective?
It’s meaningful.
It’s personal.
It pulls me forward,
even when my motivation fades.
Goals tell my system WHERE to go.
Objectives tell the soul WHY to go.
If I want to move on purpose,
I name why it matters.
