Available.

Supportive.

In service.

I called it helpful.

It was compulsive.

I couldn’t see the loop.

I wasn’t aware of the pattern.

I said yes too quickly. I filled the space. I didn’t sit with the silence.

It wasn’t generosity.

It was performance.

Like volunteering to lead something before I even asked if I should.

This loop has a signature: urgency without grounding.

What helps me make the change is pausing.

Asking: Is this urgency or clarity?

Patterns don’t ask permission.
