My Job Is to Help It Move

I used to define my work by what I produced.

What I made.

What I delivered.

What I could point to.

That’s not enough now.

Things move too fast.

The system doesn’t need more artifacts.

It needs movement.

Clarity.

Sequence.

Decision.

My job isn’t to add more.

It’s to help what’s already happening move better.

Remove friction.

Name direction.

Protect what matters.

That’s less visible.

Harder to measure.

Easier to feel.

If I am not numb or distracted.

When things are moving well, everyone knows it.

When they’re not, everyone feels that too.

If they’re not numb or distracted.

My job is not to own the work.

It’s to help it move.
