Where our words come together in a daily email.

I Land Somewhere

Everyone has a community.

Whether we name it or not.

We all have our people.

The ones who lean in.

The ones who resist.

The ones who carry something we’ve said

long after we forget saying it.

Impact always lands somewhere.

Even indifference lands.

Having a community isn’t a matter of choice.

It’s a matter of awareness.

The question isn’t if I have one.

It’s, “Am I clear about who is ready?”

Readiness protects energy.

Not everyone is prepared for what I bring.

Not everyone should be.

Specificity increases power.

When I narrow the who, my behavior clarifies.

My tone sharpens.

My boundaries settle.

My effort focuses.

Contribution is personal.

My voice.

My presence.

My orientation in the room.

Value is communal.

It exists only when received.

Traits aren’t contribution.

Being smart isn’t contribution.

Being intense isn’t contribution.

Being kind isn’t contribution.

Those are vehicles.

Contribution is effect.

What changes because I showed up?

Community makes contribution real.

Without reception, there is no value.

It always lands somewhere.

The only question is whether I know where.
