I like to believe that contribution will find its way.
That if I care enough,
work hard enough,
bring enough value,
it will matter.
Sometimes it does.
That is not process.
That is hope.
I show up with something useful.
Something needed.
Something I know how to give.
Then I offer it without asking how it serves.
Who receives it.
What happens next.
What it depends on.
What it produces.
A better question
that helps me:
How does this serve?
That question gives my contribution a path.
It turns effort into participation.
It helps what I bring land where it can matter.
Contribution without process can be generous.
It can be valuable.
It is also random.
Process is what allows my contribution to become a part.
A part of something bigger.
Bigger than me.
