Where our words come together in a daily email.

Roles Blur, Contribution Sharpens

I used to know my role.

Clear lines.

Defined responsibility.

Stay in my lane.

It made things predictable.

It also made things slow.

Now the lines don’t hold.

Design touches product.

Product touches engineering.

Leadership drops into execution.

The lanes blur.

At first, it feels like chaos.

Who owns this?

Who decides?

Where do I stop?

Something else happens.

Contribution sharpens.

If I can’t rely on my title,

I have to rely on what I contribute.

What moves things?

What clarifies?

What strengthens the system?

The question shifts

from “What’s my role?”

to “What is my part?”

That’s harder to hide behind.

No job description to protect me.

No lane to push into.

The work in front of me guiding.

That’s when contribution becomes visible.
