1. Don’t Be Dishonest

Don’t be dishonest – own the truth as next version of next. #NVoN

Honesty is more than accuracy.

It’s about alignment.

The truth I tell is always the truth I perceive.

A recursive interpretation of the world.

Not capital-T truth. Personal truth.

When I avoid it, bend it, or delay it,

I’m deceiving myself about what is here.

The cost is both relational and directional.

When we pretend we don’t see what we see

or feel what we feel,

we’re avoiding clarity.

We don’t have to be certain to be honest.

Or complete. Or done.

We only have to have the courage

to name what we see

from where we stand,

in this moment of time,

in this version of now.

In a world of too much toomuchness,

restraint draws a line

Don’t be dishonest is the line between

self-deception and courage.
